The staff at the Northport VA Medical Center have provided a number of ways for you to learn how to live a healthy lifestyle and self-manage your own health.
Patient Health Information Library
Our Patient Health Information Library is staffed by an experienced patient education Librarian and Patient Health Education Coordinator. The library contains a collection of easy-to-read medical videos and DVDs; medical books, a My HealtheVet computer workstation; audiobooks (donated from the public library), a cassette recorder; DVD player and other materials.
If you would like help with research on a medical topic, feel free to come in and ask a Librarian! We can also do your research for you if you complete our online Online Library Request Form, then the information can be emailed or mailed to your home.
The Patient Health Information Library (PHIL) is located in Building 12 just west of Building 200 (main hospital/clinical pavillion). Call 631-261-4400 x2966.
